Chin Chin
After eyeing this place for countless years, I finally had a chance to visit for myself and see what all the hype was about. My friends and I arrived just before the dinner rush and were easily able to find a seat. By the time we had finished, a line had formed outside the restaurant which was not unfamiliar for Chin Chin.

Sushi Burger
I was making my way back home after a pleasant lunch at Grand Trailer Park Taverna when I accidentally went the wrong way (typical me) and stumbled across Sushi Burger. After overcoming my surprise and confusion, I made a mental note to come back here one day and try it out.

Waffee (CBD)
Finally, another post that lives up to my blog name.
We were on the hunt for a snack one Friday afternoon and were lured in by the aroma of Waffee. As suggested by the name, Waffee specialises coffee and waffles. They also serve ice cream with their waffles, which of course makes me very happy because I love ice cream.

Sam Sam
After going past this relatively new addition to Swanston Street, we thought it was time to give it a try. Also, any restaurant with "fried chicken" written on it's signs definitely grabs my attention.
When we arrived, the tables towards the back of the restaurant had apparently all been occupied, so we were invited to sit at one of the side tables. They were... different I guess. The seat was positioned so that we were sideways to the table. Furthermore, the table was tiny so we could barely fit all our food on it.

Tina's Noodle Kitchen (CBD)
After the countless times I'd past this place and witnessed an astonishing que, I decided that for once and for all, it was time to try it for myself.
Upon arrival a waiter greeted and handed us a menu before gesturing us to our table. As I began to sat down I noticed the napkins placed on the table were printed with the name "Dainty Sichuan". My first thought was "did they just steal these napkins from the other restaurant?" (I soon realised that Tina's was owned by the same people). On the other hand, my friend's first thought was "one menu for two people?"

Fonda Mexican (Flinders Lane)
Of course I am going to live up to the name of my blog by making my first post about... food that isn't dessert.
A group of friends and I ventured down the bustling Flinders Lane a few days ago in search of a Mexican feast. Despite nearly being run over by traffic, struggling to walk uphill for two minutes (#fitnessgoals) and sweating up a storm, we made it.
